James

Co-Owner of CrossFit Eyre and the lucky partner of Maeda and father of daughter Sasha, James started CrossFit® in Geelong 2009, and never looked back.

Holding his Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness, CrossFit Level 2 Trainer (CF-L2), CrossFit Endurance Certificate, Level 1 Power and Strength Certificate.

Having a drive for strength training and power sports, his sporting highlight was playing in a Gridiron IFAF World Cup for Australia. He is eager to put his time, energy and passion in creating a facility that doesn’t only offer the best training but a friendly, welcoming place to be outside of work and home. I fell in love with Crossfit just over 6 years ago when my second babe was 6 weeks old. It started out as "time for me", which soon grew into an underlying passion. I began to feel the fittest, strongest and healthiest physically and mentally, highlighting how important the Crossfit methodology and community is to me. This continued into my third pregnancy emphasising the continuing to train whilst pregnant is achievable, is normal and can have huge benefits in your physical and mental health throughout this changing life event. Crossfit is for everyone!

My drive as a trainer is to encourage and witness people achieving goals and motivation they never knew they had. Some days as simple as just rocking up to a session is achieving that goal! As an active role model to my own children their desire to "train at Crossfit" has been the driving force behind commencing Crossfit Kid classes. As my day job is mostly about pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period I am extremely excited to get these sessions up and running so you too can find that motivation and community I once strived to find early in parenting days.

I have had a passion for all variations of training and fitness from the age of 17.

Recently completed my cert 3 in fitness and currently studying to do my CrossFit level 1 in September.

My highest aim in life is to see success and be apart of it whoever’s journey it might be. I have a real zing for life and a friendly smile to compliment it

I have attended a variety of gyms over the years but found CrossFit to be my best fit. After having my beautiful daughter I knew I needed some expert help to get my body functioning the way it used to. CrossFit allowed me to workout in an non judgemental, uplifting, team environment. It’s got a great community based vibe and it’s allowed me to find a new found confidence that comes with the ability to grow in strength, maintain endurance and train the body to move the way it was intended to. My advise .. give it a go. You will not be disappointed.

I've been training with CrossFit for around 6 years and coaching for 3. It's the one thing I've stuck with, facilitating variety in training and allowing for modification to fit my abilities and current level of fitness. I love helping people move better, and progress with their fitness.

I've studied nutrition and mindset and am currently diving deeper into both. Learning more about hormones, gut health, how our personality influences how we eat and train and increasing my depth of knowledge in mindset and psychology. Understanding that nutrition plays a big role in our success for fitness. That there are many ways to help people without just handing them a meal plan or calorie plan because nutrition is a big part of our life and shouldn't be stressful or hard. Also knowing that mindset is key for both.
